About Me
I am a Data and Engineering professional (BE Hons, Mechanical) who specialises in the connection between physical infrastructure and the data that defines it. My career began with hands-on engineering, giving me a practical foundation that now informs my work in data strategy and digital solutions.
I partner with asset-intensive organisations to help them make better, data-driven decisions. My work involves defining data standards, establishing information governance, and engineering the technical systems—like cloud-native ETL pipelines—to make it all happen. Experience
Senior Data Analyst & Consultant Water
Acted as a lead advisor on data requirements for the NZ$300M annual capital programme and provided strategic expertise to the Department of Internal Affairs for the national water reform. My role was to define the data standards and then engineer the platforms and tools needed to implement them, ensuring data could be trusted for critical financial and operational decisions.
- Advised on data strategy and standardisation for New Zealand's national water reform initiative.
- Led a cross-sector team to establish the national water data standard (3WADS).
- Mitigated NZ$1-2B in financial risk by engineering a data quality solution to eliminate duplicate assets from a NZ$25B portfolio.
- Led a team of three analysts to deliver strategic data quality improvement projects.
- Engineered a cloud ETL pipeline (Python, AWS) that reduced a 24+ hour legacy process to 30 minutes.
Digital Engineer Rail & Marine
Provided digital governance and assurance for the NZ$1.4B iReX national transport project. I co-authored and implemented the project's ISO 19650-based Digital Engineering Framework, ensuring digital deliverables from the supply chain met quality standards and aligned with long-term asset management goals.
